Washtenaw County Chapter of LDA Young Adult Friendship Group - Fall 2008

  • Nov. 17 - Mon. "Gym Night" - FREE - Rec. Center - 6:30-8:30

  • Dec. 11 - Thurs. - Christmas Dinner Party - St. Francis

The Young Adult Group is mostly made up of adults in their thirties and forties. This group has been meeting for many years for friendship and mutual support. They meet in the Ann Arbor area of Washtenaw County, usually at Tappan Middle School on Stadium Boulevard. Volunteers are always welcome to assist Carol Marino, or to lead an activity. Creating Unified Systems, Educating All Students Together
When: Saturdays in January - January 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Where: Oakland University

Description: This course for educators will focus on how to align systems, such as policies, practices and procedures, in the classroom, school or district to attain educational equity and excellence for all students. Participants will effectively analyze scenarios that demonstrate how the response to a problem did not use root-cause analysis, destroying opportunities for partnerships. Strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students will be presented.
