"Enhancing the quality of life for all individuals with learning disabilities and their families though advocacy, education, training, service and support of research."

Are You the Professional We're Looking For?

The Professional Advisory Board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Michigan is comprised of individuals who have commitment to and hold positive expectations on behalf of ALL learners, especially those who experience any type learning disability. Board members reflect various disciplines including recreation, education, law, medicine and public administration. Two of our members are also Canadian citizens, contributing even more to the diversity of our group and our viewpoints.

Diverse as the board already is, we hope to expand in this regard—hopefully into the broad business community and elsewhere. The board meets twice per year (once at the fall conference and once in the spring). And each member is expected to contribute an article to OUTLOOK (our newsletter), or actively contribute to our annual conference.

It is sincerely hoped that some of you reading this will have interest in being nominated to the board. If you fit that description, please contact Bernie Travnikar at (248) 421-1138 to discuss the matter further. Looking forward to hearing from YOU!
